Arlindo Gomes Semedo (born November 17, 1977 in Lisbon), aka Cafú, is a Portuguese-born Cape Verdean footballer currently playing for Anorthosis Famagusta FC in the Cypriot first division.
Internationally, the striker represents Cape Verde.
[edit] Football career
During his Portugal career, Cafú played for Amora F.C., C.F. Os Belenenses, with which he made his Portuguese league debuts, in 1999-2000 and Boavista F.C., appearing in some matches in the club's 2002-03 UEFA Cup quarterfinal run.
In January 2006, Cafú moved to Sportfreunde Siegen, in Germany's second division, his five league goals not being enough to avoid relegation (as last). He subsequently stayed in the category, joining SC Freiburg, where he would appear sparingly in one 1/2 seasons.
Again in the January transfer window, Cafú joined Cyprus' AC Omonia. After one 1/2 seasons, he moved squads but stayed in the country, joining Anorthosis Famagusta FC on a free transfer, in the summer of 2009.
