Famous landmarks of Burnbank include Udston Parish Church, Udston Social and Recreational Club (Jaffa Club), the Burnbank Masonic Club and Udston Bowling Club, which boasts a particular "100%" Record.

Jim Bett - Former Scotland international footballer who also played for Rangers and Aberdeen.
Willie Savage - footballing long time servant of Queen of the South F.C. in the club's days in Scotland's top division[1]
Walter McGowan - 1960s World Flyweight Boxing Chamion, was also born in Burnbank, and used the old Udston Hospital as a training base.
