James Brown (31 July 1862 – 4 July 1922[1]) was an English association football player of the Victorian era. Born in Blackburn, he played for Blackburn Rovers and was part of the team that won the FA Cup in three successive seasons between 1884 and 1886. He scored goals in both the 1885 and 1886 cup finals.[2] He also played five times for the England national team.[1]
