LCL (Le Crédit Lyonnais) is a French bank. It is the retail banking network operating only in France spun off from Crédit Lyonnais when Crédit Agricole acquired the troubled banking group in 2003. The brand LCL replaced Crédit Lyonnais in 2005 in order to remove references to its recent history. It is owned by Crédit Agricole but operates as a separate entity.
LCL serves about 6 million customers in 2000 branches in France (2005).
