Phoenix Solar AG is a German photovoltaics company. The company designs, builds and operates large photovoltaic power plants and is a specialist wholesaler of photovoltaic systems, solar modules and accessories.

The Phoenix Solar AG emerged out of an initiative of the 1994 founded "Bund der Energieverbraucher e.V". It was founded on 18 November 1999 and on 7 January 2000 it was added into the commercial register. At the Annual General Meeting on 25 Mai 2007, the shareholders decided the change of the name "Phönix SonnenStrom AG" in "Phoenix Solar AG". The Phoenix Solar AG has its headquarters in Sulzemoos at Dachau and sales offices in Germany. Subsidiaries are in Italy, Spain, Greece, Singapore and Australia.

Since 18 November 2004, the "Phoenix SonnenAktie" is traded at the OTC stock exchanges Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin / Bremen and Stuttgart. With the start of M: access, the quality segment of the Munich Stock Exchange, Phoenix Solar AG moved in this segment by the 27 July 2005. On 27 June 2006 there was the start of the official market listing at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (Prime Standard). Since March 2008 Phoenix Solar is listed in the TecDAX by the Deutsche Börse.
