Template documentation
When copying material from one Wikipedia article to another, you can put this template on the talk page of the first article (the article the material is copied from), to indicate that the page should not be deleted as long as the other page exists, since its page history contains the GFDL attribution to Wikipedian contributors of the material.
Notes also need to be put in edit summaries of both articles; see Wikipedia:Splitting#Procedure.
Usage:
{{Splitfrom
|page = name of page material was copied to
|diff = url of diff of copying the material
|date = date and time material was copied
}}
In the current version, all three arguments need to be specified.
