My name is Jeffery Nichols and I am a wikipedian and wikimedian, currently living in St. John's, Newfoundland and originally from Scarborough, Ontario. I have recently finished my Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Canadian Studies and am now working on a masters degree in political science at Memorial University of Newfoundland. I have been a Wikipedian since April 2005 and an administrator on the English language Wikipedia since May 2007. Most of my edits are about Canadian politics, history, and culture; I am especially fond of lists about these topics. I spend much time at the discussions about featured topics and do many of the promotions thereat. I have dabbled in edits outside of the encyclopedia, mostly adding Canadian English words to Wiktionary and translating my articles to French Wikipedia. I have just started attending meetings regarding the formation of Wikimedia Canada. I'm nowhere close to an expert on computers, but I've taught myself a fair amount about how this stuff is written and can contribute somewhat competently in wiki code. I have written a few semi-complicated templates that seem to be working. I am an administrator open to recall. To request this, please start a request for comment. Done Create articles for each Canadian parliament and ministry.- Done Get Lengths of science fiction movie and television series into working shape so it stops being nominated for deletion.
- Done Make featured topics project a complete, functioning featured-content project.
- Find images for all of the articles on premiers of Canadian provinces and standardize the layout of the pages. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Government of Canada/first ministers
- Bring Culture of Canada to GA status.
- Done Make Canadian articles about positions by time in office articles self-updating (will require fixing {{age in years and days}}.
- Make all Canada-related wikiprojects able to use the {{WikiProject Canada}} template if they wish.
- Tag all articles in Category:Geography of Canada with {{WikiProject Canada|geography=yes}}.
- Explain what was going on in the 14th Parilament
- Fix the numbers in the 15th election
- Fix the dates in the list of Parliaments
- Figure out which type of table to use in minority governments
- Get Battle of the Plains of Abraham to FA by its anniversary so it can get on the main page.
