There is not much here yet; feel free to make the page more useful and pretty. This is still in the idea phase, but I would like to organize a meetup for the Phoenix area sometime soon, so here's the page. We should start contacting people in the area to collaborate on the best time and place for everyone. I've made sections below to discuss them.

Any suggestions? When could you not make it?

How about: Sunday, June 28, 3:00pm, at CUPZ Coffee in the Tempe/Mill Ave area. Free WiFi. We can shoot the breeze for a while, go through whatever topics people have. Any good ideas?
- If we want to do it outdoors, we could do Encanto Park in Phoenix, McCormick Railroad Park in Scottsdale, or Tempe Town Lake depending on what's central to most people. Spike Wilbury ♫ talk 19:46, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
I'm in east Scottsdale, but it seems like Tempe might be the most central location. I'm hoping to carpool with someone else, as I don't have a car. I'm not sure about the a good place; maybe something on Mill Avenue, presumably somewhere with free wireless. Suggestions welcome. :-) Dominic·t 13:21, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Any other things you want to bring up? An agenda for the meetup? Do you need/can you give a ride? Are you allergic to open air?

No point in making an "attendees" section before we have the details of any event, but it would be nice to have a central list of Phoenix (or near) people to contact in the case of future goings-on.
